|Phillips County finds success at stock show|

Phillips County was well-represented at the 108th National Western Stock Show in Denver from Jan. 11-26.
Austin and Alex Vieselmeyer, Tyler and Kaylee Camblin and Nicholas Ortner of Holyoke and Emily Atkins of Haxtun all made the trip to Denver to show.
The Vieselmeyers showed swine and prospect calves. Austin also had an Angus heifer. Alex’s calves placed second and third while Austin’s calves placed third and sixth. The heifer placed sixth in the junior show and fourth in the open classification. Austin’s chester white hog placed 10th in the junior market swine division.
The Camblins showed prospect steers. Tyler’s steer placed third in his weight class while Kaylee’s finished in fifth.
Ortner showed cross-hampshire pigs.
Atkins showed seven chickens and two ducks. One of the ducks was named the best of the lightweight division and best of breed. Four of her chickens were named best of breed and two others were named as reserves.
