In two away games last weekend, HHS girls’ C team basketball landed a win over Burlington Friday, Feb. 4 and a loss to Wray Saturday, Feb. 5


Holyoke C 38, Burlington 21

C girls earned themselves a big win Friday night, taking the Cougars 38-21.

A strong first half put the Dragons ahead 23-4 at halftime. Even though they were outscored in the third period, they kept up the momentum to end with a win.

Top Dragon scorer was Audi Peña with 12 points followed by Jacinda Krueger with eight; Jordan Zeiler and Zuri Lopez four apiece; Brooke Parker three; Emma Adams, Molly Brandt and Jordan Bernard two apiece; and Tia Huffman one.


Holyoke C 34, Wray 59

Saturday’s game with Wray proved to be tough for the Lady Dragons, who suffered a 34-59 loss. The Eagles outscored Holyoke in all four quarters for the big win.

Peña led Holyoke scoring with 12 points while Huffman added five; Brandt four; Lopez and Krueger three apiece; Adams, Parker and Zeiler two apiece; and Becca Weaver one.
