|Boys enter state as No. 2 seed|

With the regional champion plaque flying high, the Dragons celebrate their advancement to the 2A State Basketball tournament at CSU-Pueblo this weekend. Holyoke ended the season with a 22-2 record and heads in as the #2 tourney seed. The Dragons meet #7 Hayden at 1:15 p.m. Thursday to kick off state tournament competition.
Holyoke will hit the state tournament court Thursday, March 11, at 1:15 p.m. against Hayden at CSU in Pueblo as the No. 2 seed. They take a 22-2 record while Hayden, the No. 7 seed, holds a 19-5 record.
The winner of the Holyoke-Hayden game will take on the winner of 20-4 Lutheran and 18-4 Sanford. That Final 4 game will be Friday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. Lutheran enters as the No. 3 seed while Sanford is the No. 6 seed.
Ignacio earned the No. 1 seed with their 19-2 record and will face the No. 8 seeded Wiggins Tigers who own a 14-10 record Thursday at 10:45 a.m.
The 21-3 Limon Badgers go in as the No. 4 seed and will face the 20-2 Sargent Farmers Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the opening round.
The winner of the Ignacio-Wiggins game will face the winner of the Limon-Sargent game at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 12.
The Class 2A state championship game will be played Saturday, March 13 at 7 p.m. The third-place game will be played at 3:30 p.m. while the consolation game will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
