|Girls' C team competes in weekend tourney|

HHS girls’ C team basketball traveled to NJC in Sterling Saturday, Jan. 16 for a sub-varsity tournament. While it was good experience for the athletes, the Dragons suffered three losses in tournament action.
Holyoke C 22, Abraham Lincoln 23
Holyoke first faced Abraham Lincoln from Denver in a game that ended in a tough 22-23 one-point loss. HHS led by one at halftime of this close game, but their opponents pulled ahead with a winning shot at the final buzzer.
Erin Vieselmeyer led Dragon scoring with nine points followed by Chandler Gerk with five, Brooke Parker and Becca Brandt three apiece and Jordan Bernard two.Holyoke C 22, Fairview 68
Up next in tournament action, HHS played Fairview from Boulder, resulting in a 22-68 loss for the Dragons. Fairview outscored Holyoke in all four quarters.
In team stats, Marissa Chambers led scoring with seven points followed by Vieselmeyer with six, Becca Brandt four, Parker three and Elissa Baker two.Holyoke C 12, Holy Family 53
Struggling in their third game of the day, Lady Dragons lost to Holy Family from Broomfield 12-53. Holy Family played strong from the beginning, establishing a substantial lead over Holyoke.
Scoring was led by Vieselmeyer with six followed by Molly Brandt with four and Parker with two.
