Holyoke to start with Eaton in softball regionals

Holyoke has earned a spot in the Class 3A softball postseason for the fourth time in the past five years.

The Dragons (11-12) are the 29th seed in Class 3A and will take on fourth-seeded Eaton (16-7) in the  Region 3 first round. The Reds are ranked third in the 3A final coaches poll.

On the hunt

Strasburg, the top seed across the eight regionals and first in the coaches poll, is paired with Englewood, Resurrection Christian and Basalt in Region 1.

In Region 2 is Limon, Faith Christian, The Academy and Alamosa.

Lamar, Gunnison, Thomas Jefferson and Meeker make up Region 4, with Brush, the tournament’s 2 seed, Cedaredge, Montezuma-Cortez and Lyons in Region 5.
