Golfers have another solid week

The Holyoke girls golf team is keeping their noses to the grindstones, and their hard work is paying off.

The Dragons were at The Course at Petteys Park in Brush on April 4.

Resurrection Christian won the tournament by 28 strokes.

Holyoke took third, finishing two strokes behind Fort Morgan, 306-304.

Holyoke head coach Nick Flaa said his varsity team kept the ball rolling and continued the trend from the Holyoke Invite.

Emma Thompson led Holyoke with a final score of 98 and finished in a tie with two other players for fourth.

Flaa said Thompson got off to a bit of a slow start but managed to improve her back nine score by 10 shots.

Grace Roberts came in at eighth place with a score of 101.
