Caliche shuts out Holyoke
Holyoke High School baseball hosted Caliche on April 14 for a single varsity game followed by a JV scrimmage. The Buffaloes won the varsity game 13-0 in five innings.
“The game did not go well, and we missed a lot of opportunities,” said coach Jimmy French. “I feel like we were not mentally ready for this game, and I take responsibility.”
On the positive side, French added, “We were able to put some younger players in, and they brought a bit of a spark to the game and played well.”
HHS is currently in the middle of an unusually long layoff before its next game, giving the Dragons a chance to put in some good practice before the next game April 23.
