Swaths of empty seats at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland during the Colorado 2A girls state quarterfinals March 12 were one of the early signs of preventative measures to come in Colorado. In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, events are being postponed or canceled across the state, the nation and the world. This week’s spring break in Holyoke School District has been extended through March 29, with students to return Monday, March 30.
