Seeing double? It’s twin day at HHS
All week the students at Holyoke JR/SR High have been getting revved up for homecoming, which will peak this weekend with festivities the whole town can enjoy.
On Friday, Sept. 27, students and community members will join together for the parade at 2 p.m. Spectators can expect to see plenty of floats inspired by the 2019 homecoming theme, “Drag’em Down.” Floats will line up on Bignel Street at 1:30 p.m., and the parade will travel south down Interocean Avenue. Following the parade, a pep rally will be held at City Park.
Friday night, both HHS volleyball and football will play their homecoming games against Highland. Volleyball action will start at 4 p.m. with the JV game, and football begins at 7 p.m. At halftime of the football game, this year’s homecoming king and queen will be crowned on the field.
Following Friday’s football game, Overtime will be held at the Baptist church. It is open to all junior high and high school students and young adults.
