Preschool’s ‘Candyland’ brings out the sweetness

Smarties, Whoppers, Tootsie Rolls, chocolate bars, licorice, peppermint, M&Ms, Skittles, gumdrops, jellybeans, lollipops and more set the stage for “Candyland,” the year-end program for Dragon’s Wagon Preschool students held Thursday, May 9, at the Phillips County Event Center.
Props and costumes ran the full gamut of sweetness as the preschoolers entertained in two groups. The first featured the younger students, while the last group included those who will be going on to kindergarten in the fall.
While the full group on stage sang/chanted each number, smaller groups of students moved to center stage for one song apiece.
“Candyland” opened the younger youth portion of the program, featuring Ismael Sanchez Barrera, Kenna Kramer, Cameron Balog, Penelope Murray and Brayger Bieber.
Performing “Chocolate, Chocolate” were Lylianna Perez Varela, Sadie Dirks, Sebastian Morales Guereque, Derek Olivas, Nataly Ramirez and Wes Kramer.
Dashielle Galeana Martinez, Jade De la Cruz Lopez, Cash Garrett, Rowan Skinner, Tyler Korte and Kirzi Flaa entertained with the younger group’s favorite piece, “Candy Shark.”
