Homecoming week kicks off
This year’s homecoming theme is “Winning Big." Monday, Oct. 4, which was ’80s day, started a week of dress-up days and other homecoming activities. Tuesday was favorite sports jersey day, Wednesday lavish vs. low-key and Thursday class color day. The homecoming parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, followed immediately by a pep rally at the football field, high school olympics and a JR/SR high barbecue. Athletic events in Holyoke include softball vs. Yuma on Thursday, and volleyball and football vs. Wray on Friday. Homecoming royalty will be crowned at halftime of the football game. The week will be capped with a high school dance Saturday evening, Oct. 9, at the old gym.
