FCCLA attends districts

    March 27 marked the Northeastern Plains FCCLA district competition and workshop. Chapters of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America from Holyoke and Haxtun high schools met at the Haxtun Community Center for the event. Fifteen students from each chapter were in attendance.
    They had the opportunity to present the projects they’ll be showing at the April 17-19 Colorado State Leadership Conference. Members also took turns evaluating their peers’ projects alongside adult volunteers. Feedback provided at the workshop will allow students to refine their speeches, portfolios and displays before state.
