Elementary kids take stage with holly, jolly, joy

With fanfare, forte and form, Holyoke Elementary School students captured the stage Thursday, Dec. 7, for the annual holiday music program. Students in kindergarten, second grade and fourth grade entertained in the HHS auditorium under the direction of music teacher Marcia Dalton.
Setting the tone for the evening, kindergarten children took the stage wearing mittens and gloves, singing “Mittens and Gloves.” Other selections performed by the kindergarten class were “What’s in That Stocking,” “When Santa Comes to Our House,” “Must Be Santa” and “A Shy Santa.”
They finished up in festive form with “If I Could Fly Like a Snowflake,” “Five Little Lights” and “I’m So Glad it’s Christmas.”
With holiday bags in hand, promising the audience a special surprise, the second-grade class performed “The Rhythm of the Season” and “Red and Green.”
