Dragon’s Wagon Preschool to start 38th year Tuesday, Sept. 4

    Dragon’s Wagon Preschool will kick off its 38th year Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Phillips County Event Center location in Holyoke.
    Director Marcia Walter said there are no open spaces in the preschool sessions at this time, but a waiting list has been started. To get a student on the waiting list, call Walter at 970-854-2999 or 970-854-2296.
    The preschool is state-licensed and must adhere to regulations for enrollment, which limit the teacher-student ratio per daily session. Therefore it must enroll on a first-come, first-served basis.
    Children ages 3 through pre-K who are not enrolled in kindergarten are eligible to enroll in the nonprofit, nonsectarian, nonpolitical preschool.
    In addition to Walter, Dragon’s Wagon staff includes assistant director Ashley Gragg, and aides Debbie Brandt and Brenda Juarez Rangel.
    The High Scope curriculum, an approved Colorado Department of Education curriculum, is used at the preschool and is highly regarded by Walter.
