Choirs take stage for concert
Holyoke JR/SR High School chorus members filled Heginbotham Auditorium with the sounds of the season and numerous great performances at their Christmas concert last Wednesday evening, Dec. 15.
The select choir, under the direction of Marcia Dalton, performed “Thirty Second Fa La La” to open its set. “Whisper Whisper” included soloists Adison Goldenstein, Max Kleve, Jimena Nuñez, Kai Siep, Elly Brown, Kenneth Lindholm, Tristen Ferguson and Tamara Penzing. “Christmas Lullaby (I Will Lead You Home)” featured Alma Alejandre on the flute. “North Pole Rock and Roll Medley” included solos by Lindholm and Kleve.
Select choir members also had numerous special performances throughout the evening.
Lindholm performed “Far Away,” and Correy Koellner sang “Before You Go” as Kleve accompanied her on the guitar. Kleve also later sang “Take on Me” as a soloist. Ashton Robles sang “Time Machine.”
Charlotte Kramer and Eva Kramer sang “The Coventry Carol.” Elly Brown, Emmy Brown and Siep sang “Hallelujah (Christmas Version).” Elly Brown and Emmy Brown also performed “Iris” and “Wild Horses” at the close of the program.
