6 attend FCCLA nationals
From June 28-July 4, six members of the Holyoke High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America chapter enjoyed the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in San Diego, California.
Representing the chapter’s three national-qualifying teams were Sawyer Sigler, Madison Clapper and Ciara Peterson in National Programs in Action; Elly Brown and Aleida Millan in Sustainability Challenge; and Elyce Sisseck in Repurpose and Redesign.
All three teams placed silver against tough competition.
“The girls all grew so much through this process,” said adviser Karen Ortner, who chaperoned the group. “They had such a great experience, and I am so proud of them.”
