Senior Access Points of Larimer County at www.senioraccesslarimer.colostate.edu is a website created to support seniors and senior caregivers. This website is designed to be a “one-stop” location to find information pertaining to senior care and maintaining quality senior independence.
While the partnership between the Larimer County Extension office, CSU Department of Human Development and Family Studies, the Partnership for Age-Friendly Communities and the Larimer County Office on Aging created this resource with Larimer County in mind, this resource is a great starting point for anyone needing support with senior care across the state.
With over 30 local organizations involved in Senior Access Points, or SAP, as they are called, there is a very thorough list of resources. The resources listed for access include:
    — Health and medical.
    — Home care and services.
    — Dementia and memory.
    — Legal and financial.
    — Housing.
    — Depression and loneliness.
    — Care for the caregiver.
    — Aging and Disability Resources for Colorado (ADRC).
    — Transportation.
Within each resource heading there are three tabs that can then be accessed for information. These tabs include:
    — Agencies and programs.
    — Resource guides.
    — Blogs/articles.
Again, even though many of the agencies that are listed have a Ft. Collins, Estes Park, Wellington, Loveland or Windsor address, these agencies still could be an access point for more agencies that are located near the point of care across the state.
