R.T. Lindley

    Robert Thomas “R.T.” Lindley died Oct. 27, 2017, at his home in Holyoke at the age of 74. He was born Jan. 29, 1943, in Long Beach, California, to Harlan “Red” and Wilma (Arnold) Lindley.
    He married Lynda (Melton) Lindley on Dec. 31, 1993, in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada.
    R.T. received his education through Long Beach City College and Brigham Young University. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a weapons systems officer.
    He worked as a police officer for the Logan Police Department in Logan, Utah, in the early 1960s and the Santa Ana Police Department in Santa Ana, California, through the mid-1970s. R.T. was director of safety and security for AMF Inc. in Boulder and founded R.T.L. Security & Investigations in Boulder.
    R.T. and Lynda also worked as estate/ranch managers before moving to Holyoke. He had a decades-long love for horses, ranching and being a true cowboy.
    He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Jill Peterson, and his parents, Harlan and Wilma Lindley.
    R.T. is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lynda Lindley of Holyoke; brother, Brian Lindley and wife Donna Jordan of Estes Park; daughter, Erin Lindley-Joseph of Aurora, and grandchildren Sheray Howard, Gabriel Circle and Madison Joseph; son, Brian Lindley and wife Traci of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and grandchildren Lauren and Logan; son, Scott Lindley and partner Natalie Cahill of Centennial; daughter, Ashley Maldonado and husband Vicente of London, England, U.K., and grandson Nicholas; stepson, Todd Lucas and wife Esther of Ontario, Canada, and granddaughter Ashleigh Lucas of London; and stepdaughter, Tara Glaser of Jersey, U.K., and grandchildren Sydney and Hayden.
    R.T. requested there be no service. His ashes are to be spread in the Rocky Mountains.
