Ron Hackett

    Ronald Dee Hackett, 63, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died at his home on May 7, 2018. He was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Holyoke to Roland Merle and Della Darlene Hackett.
    Ron went to Haxtun Grade School until 1969 when the family moved to Enumclaw, Washington. He moved to Corvallis, Oregon, in 1971, where he attended Corvallis High School, graduating in the Class of 1973. He continued his education at Oregon State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture engineering technology in 1985.
    He was part owner at Wild West Seed in Albany, Oregon, for 20 years and retired in August of 2017.
    Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Darlene Hackett; and grandparents, Cecil and Lenore Salvador and William and Grace Hackett.
    He is survived by his girlfriend, Keonna Owens of Las Vegas; sisters, Ronda Hackett-Bullis and husband Terry of Corvallis and Ranel Hackett of Albany; and nieces, Karlie Bullis and Phoenix Walker-Carraher. He left fun memories and cherished moments with a host of family and friends.
    Ron was cremated, and a memorial service will be held June 23 in Yachats, Oregon.
