    Patricia Ruth Null was born May 8, 1943, in Morristown, New Jersey, and at age 5 was adopted by Ruth (Barnes) Franklin. She died July 16, 2018, at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, Nebraska. She was 75 years of age.
    She graduated from high school in 1960 and attended beauty school in Brush sometime thereafter. Pat was married two previous times before marrying Stan Null in Sterling in 1968. She had a total of six children from those combined marriages, along with three step-children.
    Stan and Pat settled in Nebraska in 1978. Pat had various jobs which included nursing, cooking at the Lamar Café, and head cook at District 66 School and the senior center in Holyoke. She was also the postmaster and mayor in Lamar, Nebraska, for several years.
    Stan and Pat were members of the Imperial (Nebraska) Eagles Club and both enjoyed volunteering their time. Pat also volunteered her time to the Share program that she ran and introduced to the area. In addition to her time spent volunteering, her other passions included cooking and crafts and spending her time following her grandkids in their sports and rodeos.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruth Franklin; her husband, Stanley; sister, Thelma Gehrig; brothers, Orville and Leo Cummins; and grandson, Dustin Dizmang.
    Survivors include her daughters, Stannette and husband Wayne Spickelmier of Faith, South Dakota, Tracy Hackney of Culbertson, Nebraska, Tabitha and husband Dan Borgman of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, Ruth Dizmang of Imperial, Dianne and husband Bill Strecker of Crook, and Vickie Carter and Sherri Robinson of Texas; sons, Chuck Dilka of Denver and Anthony Dilka of Imperial; grandchildren, Miles and Ty Spickelmier, Ashley Gartzke, Kaylee Hackney, Caige Hackney, Bauner and Ally Jo Borgman, Desiree Loeffler, Austin Dilka, Cody Dilka, Hannah Dilka, William Strecker, Patrick Strecker, James, Paul and Victoria Carter, and Christal, Kleeda and Glen Robinson; four great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister, Phyllis Purvis of Saint Augustine, Florida; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dean and Doris Null of Strout, Oklahoma.
    Funeral services were held July 20 at Crossroads Wesleyan Church of Imperial, with Francis Baker officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
    A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer’s Association.
