Enterprise office to be closed Friday

The Holyoke Enterprise office will be closed Friday, June 16, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Deadlines for the June 22 issue will remain Tuesday, June 20, at 10 a.m. 

Dandelion Daze is this weekend

The 22nd annual Dandelion Daze and Party in the Park will roll into town this weekend. 

Party in the Park will be Friday, June 16, at Homesteaders Park at the Phillips County Fairgrounds. A freewill-donation community dinner and ice cream social will be served by Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department from 5-7 p.m. Cornhole starts at 6 p.m., with a beer garden and live performance by In the Groove from 6-10 p.m.

Saturday, June 17, will start with citywide garage sales at 8 a.m. Maps are available on the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce website and Facebook page and will be available at the Phillips County Court House lawn at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The annual Car and Bike Show and Chrome Show is from 8-11 a.m., with the Show and Shine running until 3 p.m. 

Holyoke FBLA will be serving breakfast burritos at the courthouse at 8:30 a.m., and several exhibitor, craft and informational vendor booths and kids activities will be set up on the courthouse lawn from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Phillips County Museum will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for people to view the transportation area and other displays.

The awards presentation will be held on the courthouse steps at 2:30 p.m., followed by Cruisin’ Down Main Street at 3 p.m. The cruise will be led by Car and Bike Show and Chrome Show participants, but the entire community is encouraged to join for a Cruise Nite to wrap up the Dandelion Daze festivities.
