Scott Lee Redmon, 68, died Oct. 2, 2022, in Oberlin, Kansas, with his family by his side. He was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Greeley to Melvin and Imogene (Green) Redmon.

Scott grew up in Greeley and Thornton, and in 1973 he graduated from Thornton High School. On May 25, 1974, Scott married Carol Groves in Loveland. 

He had several occupations and did a little bit of everything but really enjoyed farming. But most of all he loved to be with his family, go fishing, and listen to and play lots of music — especially the guitar.

Scott is survived by his wife, Carol Redmon of Oberlin; daughters, Crystal and Ted Stapleton of Stockton, Kansas, and Melissa Mayden and Ronald Sporing of Colby, Kansas; grandchildren, Makaila and Brandon Kats of Prairie View, Kansas, Lane Stapleton of Stockton, Taylor and Chyenne Mayden of Gothenburg, Nebraska, and Brendan Mayden of Hays, Kansas; great-grandsons, Jace Kats and Jaxon Harvey; and sister, KayLee and Greg Mendonca of Columbus, Ohio. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Ty Scott Redmon-Stapleton; and sister, DeeAnn Beard.

The family has chosen cremation, and services will be held at a later date.
