Rueter, McConnell win catfish tourney
May 21 marked the 14th annual Southwest Nebraska Izaac Walton League’s Catfish Tournament at Enders Lake, in which nine teams competed. Teams fished several hours and could turn in five catfish for total pounds used to determine winners. The top three winning teams are, from left, Stacy Rueter and Houston McConnell, both of Holyoke, 43.15 pounds, first; Levi Tropf, Imperial, Nebraska, and Arlo Tropf, Champion, Nebraska, 19.11 pounds, second; and Derek Tropf and Brett Tropf, both of Imperial, 17.10 pounds, third.
