Girls finish third in state track. Besides Herman and Koellner’s 1-2 in the discus and shot put, Emali Torres placed third in shot put; Tayla Martin, eighth in the 400; and Koellner, ninth in the long jump. Elly Brown opened the Thursday morning track meet by singing the national anthem.

Boys track placewinners include Max Kleve, third in the 100 and eighth in the 200; Aidyn Shafer, sixth in shot put; and Aaron Sierra, eighth in 300-meter hurdles.
