Bands perform for community in 5-12 concert
Parents, teachers, friends and general music fans attended a concert performed by Holyoke school band members in grades 5-12 on Monday evening, Dec. 13.
Under the direction of Aaron Cottam, students played numerous songs, including Christmas classics like “Carol of the Bells,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and more.
Fifth graders played their first-ever band concert, and sixth graders, whose time in band last year was changed from the normal by COVID-19, played onstage as well.
