Ag land management workshops coming to Bridgeport, Sidney

Nebraska Extension will host land management workshops in Bridgeport, Nebraska, and Sidney, Nebraska, in July. The meetings are free to attend, but registration is required.

The workshop in Bridgeport will be Thursday, July 22, from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Prairie Winds Community Center, 428 N. Main St. To register call Nebraska Extension in Morrill County at 308-262-1022.

The workshop in Sidney will be Friday, July 23, from 9-11:30 a.m. at Western Nebraska Community College, Room 115, 428 N. Main St. To register call Nebraska Extension in Cheyenne County at 308-254-4455.

These workshops will offer updated leasing information relevant to landlords and tenants, including tips for communication and negotiating. It will address topics like equitable rental rates, managing and adjusting farmland leases, landlord-tenant issues, pasture leasing and other management considerations.

The presentations will be led by Jessica Groskopf, an extension educator and agricultural economist based at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Allan Vyhnalek, an extension educator specializing in farm and ranch transition and succession.
