Cattle show set for Jan. 30-31 in Holyoke

Providing an opportunity for kids from the area to show their animals, Showdown on the Plains will be held at the Bank of Colorado Pavilion at the Phillips County Fairgrounds in Holyoke on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 30-31.

The jackpot cattle show is being organized by Tim and Monica Becker and Chase and Victoria Dunker, with Victoria serving as the coordinator.

In her role as recreation director for the City of Holyoke, Dunker noted that it’s exciting to work with the county and to be organizing something for kids. Typically, she would be getting ready for the March 3-on-3 basketball tournament which will not be on the schedule this year.

City employees will assist in running the cattle show as the city serves as the main sponsor for the event.
