School district authorizes energy audit, contract

A technical energy audit by Schneider Electric Buildings Americas Inc. was approved by Holyoke School District Re-1J at a special board meeting Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The audit was performed Jan. 1-June 1, and final findings from the audit were presented to the school board Aug. 18.
Additionally, at last week’s meeting, the board approved an energy performance contract with Schneider Electric.
As part of the business handled last week, the board adopted a resolution authorizing lease obligations for equipment purchase in any amount not to exceed $1,329,545.
The district also entered into a master equipment lease purchase agreement with Signature Public Funding Corp., with Signature Bank as the escrow agent.
