RRWCD quarterly board meeting Feb. 18

The board of directors of the Republican River Water Conservation District will be holding its regular quarterly board meeting in Burlington at Old Town Museum east meeting room, 420 S. 14th St. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Agenda items include: Consider and potentially approve minutes of previous special board meeting, Jan. 9-10, and executive session minutes from Jan. 9-10 meeting; board president’s report, pipeline operator’s report and reports from board committees including a report on the discussion on the water use fee by the Budget committee.

The Conservation committee will report on conservation efforts throughout the basin and on a proposal for an RCPP program through NRCS. The board will receive a report by State Engineer Kevin Rein, a presentation by Joe Frank and Jim Yahn on SPROWG and Fremont Butte proposal, an application for conservation grant funding from Arikaree Ground Water Management District, and a presentation by Mike Foor from Yuma County Pest District.
