Mike McCallum

    Michael Eugene McCallum died Feb. 21, 2019, in Haxtun, at the age of 54. Michael was born in Holyoke on Oct. 10, 1964, to Richard and Joyce McCallum.
    He attended Holyoke Elementary and Holyoke High School and graduated in 1983. He was raised in the Holyoke community for many years and was an active FFA member during high school. He loved to fish, hunt and ride motorcycles and was a professional truck driver for 30-plus years. He also loved his Boston terrier dogs (his fur babies).
    He is survived by his children, Cody and fiancee Jessica, Rodney, Thomas, Melissa, Elizabeth and Mathew; mom, Joyce McCallum; wife, Misty; sisters, Darlene Mahnke and husband Bruce, Madelaine Lamm and husband Jeff, and Elaine Daly and husband Gene; brothers, Glen McCallum and wife Ranae and Gary McCallum and wife Andrea; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard McCallum; and nephews, Jordan Mahnke and Blye McCallum.
    Michael wished for no funeral to be held. A private gathering of family members will be held at a later date. Michael’s ashes will be placed in the arms of his family.
