Seaboard Corporation celebrates 100 years

    Seaboard Foods employees will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its parent company, Seaboard Corporation, by hosting private picnics and internally sharing information about Seaboard Corporations’ other divisions and community impact this fall.
    In 1918, Seaboard Corporation was founded in Atchison, Kansas, with the purchase of a flour mill. Today, it is a Fortune 500 company that operates worldwide through a network of agriculture- and food-based companies, including Seaboard Foods with pork operations in the area.
    The company employs more than 11,000 people who provide quality products and services for diverse international markets. In the mid-1990s, Seaboard Corporation started its pork division, Seaboard Foods, which produces and markets Prairie Fresh® pork.
