Statz hosts Colorado County Treasurers’ Association meeting

    Phillips County Treasurer Linda L. Statz hosted the September Colorado County Treasurers’ Association-Eastern Division meeting Sept. 13-14 in Limon. Educational topics included domestic terrorism and active shooters by two Colorado FBI special agents.
    Outgoing members were given clocks with their years of service on a plaque. From the Eastern Division alone, that included Alamosa, Archuleta, Elbert, Gilpin, Kiowa, Phillips, Prowers and Teller county treasurers/public trustees, as well as the Jefferson public trustee, with more awaiting the November election. Statz was also given a Distinguished Service Award and gift for serving as the treasurer for 27 years.
