Students receive warm welcome at Holyoke Elementary

Parents said goodbye to their children, many for the very first time, and teachers welcomed new and former students in the halls of Holyoke Elementary on the district’s first day of school last Thursday, Aug. 16. K-through-third-grade interventionist and fourth-through-sixth-grade ESL instructor Cynthia Bahler is pictured embracing Deisi Medrano, who is entering second grade. After the welcome at the school entrance, kids were invited to have breakfast and play on the school’s playground.
