    Local students were among the winners of general academic scholarships for the 2018-19 academic year from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
    Taylor Hendrix, a 2018 Holyoke High School graduate, received a $500 Academic Opportunity Award in agriculture. She is the duaghter of Loren and Patty Hendrix.
    Josilyn Lutze, a 2016 Holyoke High School graduate and a Colby Community College transfer student, received a $1,000 FHSU Transfer Student Award. Lutze, daughter of Mark and Mendi Lutze, plans to major in agriculture.
