Dayle Thompson - Death Notice

    Noreen “Dayle” Thompson, 68, of Wallace, Nebraska, died unexpectedly Feb. 23, 2018, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born Oct. 27, 1949, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Doug and Alice (Simmons) McDermott.
    Dayle worked as a bookkeeper over the years in banks, grain elevators and hospitals.
    She is survived by her husband, Ron of Wallace; daughter, Darcy Howard and husband Ted of Oakley, Kansas; son, Justin Thompson and wife Jamie of Lincoln; grandchildren, J.D. Draper of Oakley and Taylor and Rylee Thompson of Lincoln; aunt, Barbara Ness and husband Dale of Fargo, North Dakota; brother, Bruce McDermott and wife Erica of Wellfleet, Nebraska; sister, Dawn McDermott of Fort Worth, Texas; sister-in-law, Joan Ott and husband Gary of Wallace; nephew, Thad McDermott and wife Lucinda; nieces, Tonya Hoelting, Julie Kelly and husband Riley, Deanna Klosen and husband Nick, and Crystal Bryant and husband Cody; and many special cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Alice McDermott, and father- and mother-in-law, Harry and Anna Thompson.
    The funeral service was held Feb. 27 at Wallace Community Hall, with Pastor Bob Witt officiating. Burial followed at Morningview Cemetery near Wallace.
