Pesticide applicator workshop scheduled Jan. 17 in Wray

    Yuma County Conservation District will be hosting a pesticide applicator continuing education credits workshop Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Roundhouse, 245 W. 4th St., Wray. The workshop is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. with lunch provided.
    Sandra McDonald of Mountain West Pesticide Education and Safety Training will provide the program.
    The workshop is open to private and commercial applicators, technicians and those seeking general pesticide education. This workshop will provide all seven Colorado Department of Agriculture required recertification core credits — laws and regulations (two), applicator safety, public safety, environmental protection, pesticides and their families, and use of pesticides. Technicians will earn 3.5 hours of verifiable training.
