KrisAnna Ham earns Bachelor of Nursing Science

    KrisAnna Ham graduated Dec. 14 with a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree with a 3.98 GPA. Ham attended Regis University in Denver and participated in a one-year accelerated nursing program.
    A special part of the graduation included a pinning ceremony where each graduate selected one person to attach a nursing pin to them. Ham was honored to have her grandmother, Mary Ann Ham, pin her.
    In addition to graduating, Ham was selected as one of 23 from all the students graduating from Regis for Jesuit Colleges and Universities Honor Society Alpha Sigma Nu. The honor society recognizes those students who distinguish themselves in scholarship, loyalty and service.
    Future plans include taking the National Council Licensure Examination registered nurse test and then start the application process to hospitals. She is hopeful to get hired in a labor and delivery unit or in a neonatal intensive care unit.
    Ham is a 2012 Holyoke High School grad and the daughter of Ken and Kristie Ham of Holyoke and the granddaughter of Winston and Mary Ann Ham of Haxtun.
