Camblin recognized for board service
Completing his 11-year tenure on the Holyoke School District Re-1J Board of Education, Kris Camblin was recognized last week when he was presented the Colorado Association of School Boards McGuffey Award.
CASB director Ken DeLay recognized Camblin at the beginning of the Nov. 7 meeting of the Holyoke School Board.
McGuffey Awards honor unique board members who bring committed and passionate service to their board work.
Due to term limits, Camblin goes off the board this week after serving since 2006, most recently as board president.
The nomination from the board noted that the district has celebrated significant achievements and has endured harrowing times under Camblin’s leadership.
