MMH Health Fair is a success

“Follow the yellow balloons,” were the directions given to visitors greeted at the entrance of Melissa Memorial Hospital’s annual health fair Saturday, Oct. 21.
The balloons guided visitors to discounted and free screenings throughout the hospital including mammograms, hearing tests and tetanus shots, to name a few.
In addition to all that MMH had to offer, other vendors  and local organizations were set up at tables to provide valuable community resource information.
CEO Trampas Hutches said they had a good turnout. “This is one of the more comprehensive health fairs MMH has sponsored since I’ve been here.”
Hutches noted that about one-third of participants came to pick up blood draw results and consult with a provider. The second most popular station was Holyoke Family Eyecare, which offered promotions and discounts on glasses and contacts, he added.
