New website focuses on career transition, credentialing for military and veterans

The Department of Regulatory Agencies has launched a new Military and Veterans Programs website dedicated to career transition and professional credentialing for active duty, reserves, National Guard, military spouses and veterans.
DORA’s Military and Veterans Programs website, colorado.gov/dora-military, reflects the commitment of the department to ensure that they have the information and support they need when pursuing professional licensure credentials in the state of Colorado. DORA licenses and regulates more than 50 professions and occupations in the state.
“The department has implemented several successful programs aimed at streamlining pathways to professional licensure,” said Joe Neguse, DORA executive director. “Our goal is to offer opportunities for military, reserves, National Guard, military spouses and veterans to apply their experience toward obtaining their professional license so they can get to work faster.”
“As we continue supporting our men and women and their families, removing entry barriers to their civilian careers in the workplace is a positive development,” said Dr. Diane Ricci, deputy director of the Colorado Division of Veterans Affairs at the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs. “We appreciate the proactive steps DORA has taken as the state collectively strives toward our shared mission.”
