Leave legacies after your lifetime through ECCF

Every resident of Eastern Colorado benefits from the legacy and planning of previous generations. The Eastern Colorado Community Fund exists to promote and secure a charitable legacy for our region.
A few months ago, I introduced a Donor Advised fund — an easy, flexible tool for accomplishing your philanthropic goals during your life. But what about leaving an impact after your lifetime? A legacy gift is a donation that will benefit charitable projects beyond your lifetime.
The simplest way to make a lasting gift to your community is to include charitable giving in your will. This allows you to designate a gift or portion of your estate to a fund under the umbrella of the ECCF and, in some cases, receive a substantial reduction in federal gift and estate taxes.
Simply document for our staff which charitable projects you’d like to support, and name the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado as a beneficiary in your will. Such gifts enable you to make significant contributions that may not have been possible during your lifetime.
