FSA sets enrollment, reporting deadlines

Each year producers who wish to participate in Farm Service Agency programs must enroll their farms and designate participation through division of the shares on their contracts. In the Phillips County FSA office, there are many farms that are not enrolled for 2017.

The Aug. 1 deadline is fast approaching, and time slots are very limited. There are no late file provisions, and producers who do not enroll by the deadline will not be eligible for program benefits.

Additionally, all producers are encouraged to visit the Phillips County FSA office to file an accurate crop certification report by the applicable deadline in order to comply with FSA program eligibility requirements. July 17 is the deadline for reporting 2017 planted crops.
Failure to report crops by that deadline will make producers ineligible for program payments, load deficiency payments, marketing assistance loans and other program payments.

Call the Phillips County Farm Service Agency office at 970-854-2812, ext. 2, to make an appointment to complete enrollment or acreage reporting.
