2017 Colorado Girls State delegates selected
This year, HHS juniors Anna Jelden and Dominique Penzing are the two young women chosen by Holyoke Unit No. 90 of the American Legion Auxiliary for the June 11-17 Colorado Girls State session.
Colorado Girls State is done in the spirit of service, not self and is described as “the experience of a lifetime!” No matter what other words former participants in Colorado Girls State use, it always seems to boil down to one point — there's nothing else like it.
Colorado Girls State is a statewide program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, held at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Girls State is a highly selective program, choosing only young women with superior academic accomplishment and decorum.
