FFA earns honors at district meeting
HHS FFA participated in the FFA District 16 quiz bowl and officer interviews held at the Phillips County Event Center in Holyoke Monday, April 24.
Taylor Hendrix was elected as district secretary for the 2017-18 school year. Alex Vieselmeyer also ran for office.
In addition, two HHS quiz bowl teams competed, with the team consisting of Kaylee Camblin, Emma Roll and Tristen Roll placing first and qualifying for state competition.
The second Holyoke team, consisting of Jillian Hunter, Savannah Burris and Morganne Kumm, placed third of seven competing teams.
State FFA convention will take place June 13-15 at Colorado State University-Pueblo.
