Happy Jacks receives regional 'Best BBQ' award
Happy Jacks Barbeque attracted more than just local community members with its delicious smoke Wednesday, April 19. Cathy Shull, director behind the web-based Discover Northeast Colorado event guide, paid a surprise visit to award the establishment with an award for “Best BBQ in Northeast Colorado.”
Sheila Robinson, one of the restaurant owners, was present to accept the certificate and balloons. Co-owner Allyn Robinson was not present when Shull arrived.
The award was part of Discover Northeast Colorado’s “Best of Northeast Colorado” program, which features a category each month for its 7,800 followers to nominate and vote for their favorite establishment in a 10-county region.
