User survey shows support in groundwater conservation

A recent survey of groundwater users in the eight Republican River Basin groundwater management districts shows widespread support for pursuing groundwater conservation strategies. Of those responding to the survey, 86 percent are supportive of their groundwater management district “working to develop and promote strategies and practices that conserve groundwater.”
The survey was conducted by researchers in Colorado State University’s Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics, in collaboration with members of the Water Preservation Partnership.
A complete summary of the survey results can be found at dare.colostate.edu under the heading “News & Announcements.”
