Breaking the stigma of running one step at a time
    THE IMPERIAL REPUBLICAN, May 4 — Jonathan Beverly has been an active member in the running world since 1977. From his humble beginnings as “your quintessential 90 pound nerd,” he has gradually gained more experience and knowledge on both the technique and psychology of running.
    Beverly’s knowledge and tips will soon be open to the public as he has not one, but two books in the works.
    “Your Best Stride” printed through Rodale Press in Pennsylvania is expected to be on the market June 13, and “Run Strong, Stay Hungry; 9 Keys to Staying in the Race” printed through Velo Press in Boulder will come out Nov. 10.

Female body ID’d as missing Fort Morgan teen
    FORT MORGAN TIMES, May 2 — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Tuesday afternoon that a body found off Morgan County Road Q is that of missing 18-year-old Fort Morgan woman Destiny Renace McMinn.
    Her death was ruled a homicide, an MCSO news release stated.
    The Fort Morgan Police Department received reports of McMinn as a missing person on April 2, according to the release.
    “She was reportedly last seen on March 22 and was reportedly in the company of Santos Macias,” the release stated.
    The sheriff’s office had received reports of Macias as a missing person on March 24, and his body was found April 17 in a garage of a vacant house located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and Saunders Road by workers preparing to do demolition work on the property. It was later identified to be that of Macias and revealed to have been a homicide.
