Levy earns advanced diabetes certification

    Julie Levy has just earned the Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management certification through the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
    Levy, a registered dietician, sees cardiac patients at Chase County Community Hospital in Imperial, Nebraska, makes meal plans for CCCH and Imperial Manor Parkview Heights, and travels to Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke and Sedgwick County Health Center in Julesburg.
    The BC-ADM certification not only makes Levy more qualified as a registered dietician but also places her at an advanced level of knowledge, which betters her ability to assist with patients’ needs.
    The eligibility criteria to gain this certification includes 500 hours in advance diabetes management and a master’s degree or higher professional education training specific to diabetes.
