Coaxed by parents, a group of young children advance upon the Phillips County Court House lawn in search of Easter candy at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 8. This scene played out at the same time in three different locations: the Court House lawn for children ages 6 and under, sponsored by the Holyoke Lions Club; Holyoke City Park for students in grades 1 and 2, sponsored by American Legion Post 90; and near the Holyoke Junior/Senior High School for grades 3 and 4, sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6482. Another series of hunts, hosted by Thrashers Softball Club, occurred at 6 p.m. that day on the Holyoke baseball/softball fields for kids ages 3 and under, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, and grades 3 and 4. — Andrew Turck | The Holyoke Enterprise
