DC, NYC travel experience proves to be larger than life

Twenty-one travelers immersed themselves in American history and big city culture May 31-June 6 on a trip to Washington, D.C., and New York City.

Tracy Trumper organized the trip as part of an Education First Explore America tour to give students and community members an opportunity to experience and learn about the nation’s history.

Six adults and 15 students took advantage of the six-day trip that kicked off summer in fine fashion.

Highlights of the Washington, D.C., portion included Union Station, Smithsonian museums, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, National Archives Building, Library of Congress, Capitol Building, Supreme Court Building and White House.
